Starting the first week in December, we will use the Prayer Mini-Course. Like before, the videos will be emailed to the Engage Flocknote group (sign-up below), and small group discussions will be held on Zoom starting Thursday, December 3 at 7:00pm. (Fill out the form on this page to receive the Zoom link.)
The Thursday night discussions will run through December 17.
To particpate in a small group discussion on Thursday evenings online, please fill out the online form to the right (or below, if on a cell phone.) Small groups will meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm through Zoom.
Run by young adults for young adults, the Young Adult Group (YAG) aims to fill the gap between youth groups and adult ministries with continued catechesis and spiritual support for anyone aged 18 to 28. With coverage of relevant and important topics interwoven games and food, all wrapped tightly in the atmosphere of an intimate community of friends, the YAG is the perfect place for college students and adults just entering the workforce to figure out how to own their faith while benefiting from the support of peers in the faith.
Join us Tuesday evenings from 7-9 at the Neumann House beginning September 15th. An online option is available upon request, but COVID regulations will be followed and precautions are being taken for all in-person meetings. Contact us at communications@saintjohnneumann.org for the Zoom link or for more information.
Are you a Catholic adult but haven't received the Sacrament of Confirmation?
Beginning in the Spring, St. John Neumann Parish will offer sacramental preparation sessions for adults who are already baptized Catholic and have already received the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, but still need to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Prepared candidates will then be registered with the Archdiocese of Washington to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Pentecost at St. Matthew's Cathedral.
If you would like additional information, please contact the Religious Formation Office.
The goal of the Adult Faith Formation Program at Saint John Neumann is to conform persons to Christ, which is to bring all those involved in the various dimensions of Adult Faith Formation Program to a mature understanding and experience of Christ as the center and well-spring of God’s eternal plan for them and for the whole of creation. This task is approached through advanced study and exploration of the meaning of Christ’s words, actions, and signs. In this respect, the aim of adult catechesis is more than intellectual assent to doctrinal principles. It is to help persons to grow in communion with Jesus Christ - through Whom they may enter into and enjoy a share of the life and love of the Holy Trinity.
